My Story
SZILVIA VITOS | LIFE & WELLNESS COACH
With 15 years of corporate leadership experience, and the passion for a healthy and balanced lifestyle, I’m here to guide you through your journey to your BEST authentic SELF!
In the Beginning
“Who are you, little Hungarian girl, to apply for this job at the German headquarters?”
Even after all these years, I can still hear my inner voice while staring at this incredibly interesting job profile at a multibillion-dollar corporation I was working for at the time. I was 26 years old and, to say the least, had low self-esteem.
After receiving the necessary external push and listening to my intuition, I made the decision, applied for, and got the job, and the journey continued.
In the Corporate World
It can be very gratifying to feel a sense of accomplishment with every task completed, no matter how small or significant, to get encouraging comments from coworkers, managers, or peers, and to have the chance to develop personally while guiding others.
It’s been a fantastic experience to work for multinational organizations at all levels, to fulfil my ambitions and seize opportunities, to grow with the challenges, to practice leadership and build up teams from the ground up, to work with amazing people from all over the world, to learn about different cultures, to let my creativity and ideas shape the company’s strategic planning, to create processes and guidelines and teach them to teams, and to keep solving challenges day in and day out.
Experiencing personal satisfaction with every small or large accomplishment, receiving positive feedback from team members, peers, or managers, and having the opportunity to grow as a person and help others grow under my leadership can be extremely rewarding.
Investing In Myself
However, the grass is not always green, and there are always two sides to a coin – and this was no exception in this case.
With all of my achievements and accomplishments, I only had the opportunity to reflect on the past 15 years after I was laid off in early 2021.
It was shocking to realize that there is a clear pattern in terms of wellbeing or lack thereof across organizations, countries, regions, cultures, and organizational hierarchies. And I was guilty of it too…
Being stressed out most of the time, working long hours including weekends and holidays, being frustrated by never-ending internal politics or unwanted management decisions, falling sick every now and then and seeing many colleagues being sick or suffering from various chronic diseases as if it were “normal,” dealing with toxic people within or outside the organization, putting the needs of the company ahead of myself and my family, and the list goes on and on.
So I’ve decided to make a U-turn and not continue in executive management, but to return to school and invest in myself like I have never done before, learning, reading, and developing myself to a whole new level, so that after some time, I can go back and help those in need.
The Change
Today, my mission as a Certified Transformational Health Coach and Life Coach (CTNC) is to support individuals like the “old me”.
In order for them to achieve a higher state of wellbeing and increase personal satisfaction while also allowing organizations to profit from having happier and healthier employees who produce better results, I do it by sharing knowledge, experience, tools, and practices that I wish I had known about during my time in corporate organizations.
Make the courageous decision to improve your life while also having a positive influence on those around you.
